How did this happen?

Totally and completely by accident.  It started the evening of October 14th, 2014, when I found a lump in my breast the size of a small, soft boiled egg - completely by accident. I wasn't even looking or checking myself. I went to the doctor's the next morning and even he thought it wasn't really anything. We haphazardly decided to go for a mammogram and threw the ultrasound in just because. And then this journey began...
