And now I wait...
Between my initial results and the biopsy, sixteen days passed by. Then another week passed by before I received the biopsy results. To me, this was way too much time. This was supposed to be urgent. How can they possibly have me wait this long? Forget Lakeridge Oshawa, I'm going to Sunnybrook. They have a new centre for breast cancer and a special centre within the centre for people under 40 (that's me!). From everything I had read, Sunnybrook could do the mammogram, ultrasound, and biopsy in 72 hours to five days and give you the results and diagnosis. Sunnybrook could do that in five days and Lakeridge Oshawa was taking 23 days? It seemed clear to me at that time that Sunnybrook was the way to go!
